Bart has worked since 2004 in the impact sector on impact investment strategies, fund and program structuring, fundraising, fund management, social enterprise and impact investing, financial management and public-private partnerships. He always seeks value from a societal point of view, working with both private and public parties. He works with and advises organisations, private and public, in setting-up and managing impact intervention strategies, including investment funds and programs.



Bart was asked to set-up and manage the Social Impact Fund Rotterdam end of 2018, as part of the Rotterdam Impact Initiative. From 2014 to 2018 Bart worked as Chief Investment Officer at Enviu – a social venture lab. In 2007 he co-founded and managed the InReturn East Africa Fund, investing in small & medium enterprises for impact and profit. He worked 4 years in Kenya.



Bart holds an Executive Master of Finance and Control and a Master of Science in Financial Business Economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
